Embroidery is usually done with the usage of three colors and some time two colors also work. Aari or Hook work is another type of embroidery work.

And artisans very expertly make the unique designs on these shawls illustrating the nature like birds and trees, architectural designs or mythological figures and sometimes embroidery is done in such a way that both the sides of the shawl look same, this is known as Jamawar shawls and ranges in lack of rupees.
